A Little Bit About Us
Looking out the windows of our premises we are fortunate to be able to take in a 360-degree vista of the magnificent Mackenzie Basin – surrounded by high peaks (just up the road is Aoraki Mt Cook), mountain ranges, drylands, lakes and rivers. It is not your typical factory setting (we even have a garden full of native plants to entice the native birds such as korimako (bellbird), tui, piwakawaka (fantail)), usually there would be more hustle and bustle in most industrial situations and with lack of a view. We consider ourselves extremely lucky!
Inside this perfectly placed factory we have a small but dedicated team, averaging around 7-8 staff who are dedicated to working in a locally owned and operated business. Our team pride themselves on creating the best products available from our resources. Imagine that - living in a highly regarded destination within New Zealand while being employed to create premium products that are available on both the domestic and export market.
Part of our success is due to our geographic location; our raw materials are predominately sourced from the local natural environment in the form of whole wild animals. We take these wild animals and break them down, while undergoing minimal processing techniques so pets reap the benefits from our premium products that are available as frozen raw, freeze dried and air dried.
We have a strong and loyal customer base who appreciate and understand the benefits of feeding our PURE products. Word of mouth is a powerful tool (along with Google) to share the individual experiences of our quality products, this tool is an important part of growing our business and we are very grateful for the exposure that our customers create for us – this can be through voice, social media eg. sharing and tagging on Instagram and Facebook, and even by wearing our merchandise in the form of a cap.
So, there you have it… A fortunate selection of locals living in Twizel (in the magnificent Mackenzie) creating for you and your pets a PURE premium product selection from our pristine surroundings.
